Firelands Soccer Referee Association is committed to helping our young and experienced referees learn and improve. We offer these options:
- Soccer Referees – Do you need Help?
FSRA offers help to soccer referees with questions about the game of soccer whether it be about rules/laws of the game, procedures, - USSF Referees – The FSRA Board of Directors has approved a mentoring program for newer referees. Representatives from FSRA will attend matches, make observations, and provide verbal and written improvement tips to the referee. The goal of the program is to provide the referee tips they can use to improve, including appearance, match mechanics, positioning, communications, demeanor, and how to start and end matches.
If you are interested, please contact your match assignor and a member of the Board will reach out to you to schedule an observation session or two. - High School Referees – The FSRA Board of Directors has approved a mentoring/observation program for newer referees and those wishing to move up from “Class 2″ to Class 1”. Center referees and AR’s will receive a full evaluation, written and verbal report, and tips in areas to improve performance.
Referees can contact Board Member FSRA VP Matt Richey and/or FSRA OHSAA Secretary John Hunter to schedule an observation session.
